GERGELY ZSOLNAY
EXECUTIVE CHEF OF THE PLANTEEN
Gergely Zsolnay is a horticulturist, vegan chef and nutritionist. In addition to sustainable growing and gourmet plant-based cooking, he has a wealth of knowledge about pairing ingredients to eat healthily.

Thanks to his wide-ranging experience and boundless creativity, he is always able to surprise guests and make even the most sceptical ones think with his mind-opening presentations.
Previously a hunter and animal keeper, he has followed a unique path to a plant-based lifestyle, which he has now been enthusiastically promoting for 6 years.
In 2023, he won the award for the "Healthy Chef of the Year" in the professional category.

For more than a year now, The Planteen has been providing us with delicious and impressive breakfasts every two weeks on Wednesdays led by executive chef Gergely Zsolnay. At the Vegan Business Circle breakfasts, we strive to show our members and guests the possibilities inherent in plant-based nutrition, and our goal is to provide them with a special gastronomic experience. Based on the feedback, Planteen's breakfast deserves a maximum 5-star rating from both points of view.

When planning the offer, we pay attention to seasonality and prefer local ingredients.

We do not use palm oil, as it has a huge impact on the environment.

We use environmentally friendly cleaning products where we can. This is also true for the tools used at events and all our printed materials.

Our alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are supplied by domestic organic wineries, craft breweries and local manufacturers.

When planning the offer, we strive to properly estimate the quantities in order to minimise food waste. We bring eco-friendly takeaway boxes to all events so that participants can take home their favourite food if there are any leftovers.
